Criminal Justice Trainee

Keshia Edwards is a criminal justice trainee working on the Restore, Reinvest, Renew (R3) Program in ICJIA’s Federal & State Grants Unit. Prior to joining ICJIA, Keshia was a caseworker for the Illinois Department of Human Services, where she helped administer cash, medical, and SNAP benefits to individuals in need. She also served as an auditor with the Illinois Secretary of State Department of Motor Vehicles. Before entering state government, Keshia spent nearly 25 years in retail management and working in the telecommunication industry. Keshia earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Kennedy King College and a bachelor’s degree in program management from University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign. She is working toward her master’s degree in criminal justice at Governor’s State University.
