Since 2003, Adriana Pérez has worked in a variety of ICJIA roles. Prior to becoming the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act Chief Accountability Officer, Adriana was the program manager for Adult Redeploy Illinois, a grant monitor, and research analyst. As a grant monitor in the Federal and State Grants Unit, Adriana monitored metropolitan drug enforcement and task force grants, as well as drug prosecution programs funded under the Justice Assistance Grants Program. As a research analyst, she provided her expertise in support of the federal S.T.O.P. Violence Against Women Act and Victims of Crime Act grant program. In that role, she managed federally required data, set performance measures, and analyzed data for the federal grants. Adriana also assisted Ad Hoc Victim Services committees for strategic planning in use of federal victim services funding. Adriana is an adjunct professor at Harold Washington College, where she teaches various sociology courses.
